Doton, or Earth Element, takes the form of soil and mud based attacks. These can be walls made from mud or the ninja maneuvering himself below ground to attack his opponent from below. The mountains, caves, and gardens are examples of Earth manifestations

E-rank

DOTON: Chihou no Jutsu
(Earth Compass Technique) Through the use of this simple technique, the user flows their chakra into a small rock. Once done, they drop it on the ground, the chakra in the rock causing it to always gravitate toward magnetic north. Very useful for when lost and without a compass.

D-rank

DOTON: Doryuu Hibi no Jutsu
(Earth Cracker Technique) The user stomps the ground, creating a cracked surface and a small pit beneath, useful for tripping some opponents or digging quick holes to hide traps in.

DOTON: Shuriken no Jutsu
(Shuriken Technique) The ability to turn basic dirt into shuriken.

DOTON: Tsuchiken
(Stone Fist) The user dips his hands in thick mud, which then harden with chakra to become dry and rock hard, giving the user fists that are almost as hard as stone. Cannot use hand seals. (Note: Recommended using one hand only)

DOTON: Katou Chirikire
(Flexible Dirt Strips) The ninja can create highly durable bands out of dirt. They emerge from the ground and fly in any direction guided by the ninja. The width, and density, of the dirt bands can vary depending on how much chakra is used. Katou Chirikire is more useful as a supplementary and defense technique then as an attack technique.

DOTON: Genwakudoro no Jutsu
(Sticky Mud Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user scoops up a handful of mud and channels chakra into it to make it into a sticky substance. The sticky mud has the consistency of a strong glue and will hold up (or down) nearly anything depending on how much chakra is spent. The technique can be used to “melt” down solid rock into sticky mud, but this use requires more chakra.

DOTON no Jutsu
("Earth Release") Doton no Jutsu, the act of using the earth elements, allows the ninja to go into the earth and hide from his opponents. The ninja can only attack if their entire torso is above ground. (Note: Do not confuse this with "Doton Shijuu Zanshu" where its purpose is to draw your body underground and leave you immobile, while your head is visible)

Kondaku Henkan
("Muddiness Transformation") This simple technique allows the user to quickly transform a patch of earth into mud, or a mud patch into solid earth. Note that it's more difficult to make mud in dry areas, or solid earth in wet areas. (Note: Takes more chakra if defying climate)

C-rank
Bakuhatsu Seizoroi
(Explosion Array) By doing the nessicary hand seals and punching the ground, this jutsu can blast anything upwards within a ten foot circular range of the ground targetted, including dirt, rocks, or anyone inside. Since this jutsu's effects aren't lethal (though the resultant fall might be), it can be used to knock targets unconscious and capture them. In addition, the pillars of displaced dirt and rocks can be used to hide from or blind the target. There is a chance that nearby party members or hired help will also be blasted, but there's little chance they'll perish, so, in a way, there's no need to worry when using this jutsu. Of course, there's no harm in exercising caution, either.

DOTON: Dochuu Eigyo
(Underground Fish Projection) A Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. With this, a user will utilize multiple clones to confuse their enemy, then attack their target from the shadows by throwing shuriken or kunai to correspond with the clones' attacks, or by using Earth Release to sink into the ground, occasionally resurfacing to attack.

DOTON: Doro Bunshin no Jutsu
(Mud Clone Technique) This creates a replication of the user out of mud. It isnt useful as a decoy, but can attack.

DOTON: Doro Saafingu Jutsu
(Mud Surfing Jutsu) Used with Doton Doryuu Taiga or any rolling mud, the user can maintain balance and travel down the river surface.

DOTON: Doroku Gaeshi
(Earth Type: Upside-Down Mud Wall) A Doton (earth type) Ninjutsu technique where the ninja strikes the ground with their hands and a large wall of earth will rise into place as defense. The defense is not perfect though, a hard or drilling impact can puncture the wall.

dOTON: Doryuu Atsuennami
(Earth Rolling Wave) The user slams the ground, making the ground bulge like a wave and move along the earth for a short distance, defending the user and attacking the enemy. (Need high strength)

DOTON: Doryuu Shinko
(Earth Rising) The ability to make some earth rise in front of the user. This can be a defensive technique, or combo-ed with some of the other jutsu that relies on dirt. (note: Can only raise half their bodies mass of earth.)

DOTON: Doryuu Taiga
(Earth Flow River) - Doryuu Taiga is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and transform the ground upon which the enemy stands into a river of mud.

DOTON Kirehari no jutsu
(Strip Spikes) The useful attack technique of the aforementioned Chirikire jutsu. After using Katou Chirikire, the ninja can change handseals, causing thin or wide spikes to protrude out of the bands and shoot out.

DOTON - Kodorou no Jutsu
(Earth Release - Rising Earth Prison Technique) A ninjutsu in which the user preforms the necessary handseals and then slams their palms upon the ground. A rectangular prison, complete with a ceiling, will rise and form around the targeted individuals. The ground is charged with the users chakra, making it extremely dense and negating any jutsu used to travel through earth. The walls and ceiling are also extremely dense. If the caster removes their hands from the spot on the ground where the jutsu is initiated, the jutsu is broken.

DOTON - Koudokasui no Jutsu
(Earth Release - Rising Earth Spike Technique) A simple yet effective jutsu. After casting the necessary seals, the user slams their hands on the ground. A single sharpened construct of earth will rise in front of the target, aiming to impale them. Higher level ninja may form multiple spikes, but will suffer greater chakra usage by doing so.

DOTON: Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu
This ninjutsu isn't a widely used technique, since it is only used when surprising the enemy. After performing a series of hand seals and raising his chakra, the ninja is buried underground using his chakra. He can then move freely inside the ground, as if he was outside. (Note: Canon-wise, the grade is officially "D", but we're going to make it C for the board)

DOTON: Shuuran Haji no Jutsu
(Earth Type: Grasping Ribbons Technique) A skill where the user channels his/her chakra through the ground, forcing earth farther away to rise up in thick ribbons. The skill is mainly used to grab an opponents legs, and can be controlled as to where the earth rises up.

B-rank
Chou Bakuhatsu Seizoroi (Credit to Sylia)
(Super Explosion Array) The damage from this jutsu doesn't differ significantly from that of Bakuhatsu Seizoroi, but the area of effect has increased, making it possible to attack even more targets. Since the amount of dirt which flies up has increased, the jutsu's ability to cloud the visibility of opponents has also increased. The increased area of effect also means that party members have a greater chance of being victims of this jutsu, but hesitation in battle usually means losing anyways.

Dango Dotonidoryo
(Mud Cannonball) AKA Doryou Dango - Mausoleum Earth Dumpling An earth elemental attack in which the user uses chakra to grasp a huge amount of land mass, and then forms it into a huge boulder and then hurls it at the enemy. (Note: Needs high strength as a requirement)

Doroudomo Doten Kekkai
(Earth Barrier Clay Prison) A earth elemental ninjutsu attack in which the user pummels his hands into the ground and forms a dome around the enemy. The dome is a prison, reinforced by the user's chakra; the chakra flow and strength of the earth walls are weaker farther away from the user. The weakened areas offer the best chance for the dome's prisoners to break loose.

Doryuudan
(Earth Dragon Projectile) Doton Doryuudan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and create a dragon from the river of mud made after using the Doryuu Taiga technique. This dragon will then spew mud projectiles from its mouth.

Doton Doryuuheki
(Earth Element - Earth Rising Wall) Doton Doryuu Heki is a defensive Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. The ninja will do the necessary hand seals and then spew a line of mud onto the ground. The mud will then grow into a large mud wall to help defend against incoming attack.

Doton Kazangan Taiga
(River Lava of Earth) Using mud, the user uses their chakra to form the mud into molten lava, forming a river, depending on how much mud is used.

Doton: Setsunai Daichi no Jutsu
("Earth Type: Strangling Earth Technique) This jutsu builds off of the Doton: Shuuran Haji no jutsu. But rather than using the tendrils of earth to trap ankles or limbs, the ribbons are used solely to strangle the foe. (Note: Requires Shuuran Haji no Jutsu)

Iwayado Kuzushi
(Cave-in Crusher) The user slams a tall wall or cliff, causing it to break apart and cause an avalanche. Similiar to filler jutsu "Iwa Nadare". Iwa Yado Kuzushi is a manga tech.

Jishin
(Earthquake)With several hand seals, the jutsu user places his/her hand on the ground and sends out a pulse, which then causes something like an earthquake within a certain area. The shaking is strong enough to destroy a building or to seal the entrance to a cave. This spell doesn't attack living beings directly, but can be used to kill target(s) if used correctly.

A-rank

Doton Assai Ago no Jutsu
(Crushing Jaw Technique) The user slams the earth, making a large fissure appear suddenly, dropping an enemy or two in, before slamming it again, cause the walls to crush the enemies as they slowly come back to normal.

Doton Karyoku no Jutsu
(Vulcanic Earth Skill) An earth type move in the ninja uses chakra to cause the earth near them to erupt. Anything the lava touches instantly burns.

Ishi Kasui (Credit to Sylia)
(Stone spiker) A powerful and effective Jutsu in which numerous large stone spears rush out of the ground. This is done by gathering chakra in one's hand and slamming that hand against the ground, which causes the layers underneath the ground to shift. Since this jutsu also causes a small earthquake, any target whose feet are on the ground will have a hard time dodging this attack.

Earth/Stone Village Jutsus Empty Re: Earth/Stone Village Jutsus

Stone Village Jutsus:
D-rank

Iwa Nankan no Jutsu
("Rock Barrier") Through gaining an understanding of how chakra may be used to affect earth, rock or stone, the user of this technique develops a method to counteract the process. This technique creates a personal barrier around the user, breaking apart chakra-affected stone or rocks before they can reach him/her. If the technique that strikes this barrier is of equal rank or lower to the level of the barrier known to the user, then even the hardest of stones used in the offensive technique will be broken apart into dust, which will scatter safely around the shield without getting in the user's way. (In other words, said dust will not blow into the user's eyes or anything similar.) However, if this barrier is used to defend against a technique of a higher rank than the barrier itself, then it will only serve to reduce the effect of the offending technique. This technique requires a constant flow of chakra to maintain, which increases in magnitude with the rank used. (D - A Rank, user must have ninjutsu listed as a strength and must specialize in earth ninjutsu)

Tsuchitosu no Jutsu
(Stone Toss Technique) Using chakra, the user picks up a clod of dirt and it becomes as hard as rock, ready to be thrown. The size depends on the amount of chakra used.

Chi Katame no Jutsu
(Hard Earth Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user is capable of flowing their chakra into mud or other soft earth and turn it into solid stone. The amount of mud transformed depends on the amount of chakra used.

Iwa no Sho
(Rockbite) Through the use of this technique, the user flows their chakra into a spot on the ground in one quick, forceful burst. As a result, any spot within 10 feet of the user erupts forth at the target/targets, spraying forth many small and sharp shards of rock that function in the same way as if they were small glass shards.

Jouhando no Jutsu
(Rising Hand Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user flows chakra into their hand and pushes it into the ground which opens up and then seals around the hand. As long as their hand remains in the ground, a hand of about the user’s size (sometimes a little bigger) and an “arm” of up to 6 feet in length will come up out of the ground. The hand will strike as hard as the user can and can be used to grab onto an arm or hand and restrict movement., again being about as strong as the user, but made out of stone. The arm can follow a person around for as long as they are within the user’s sight and the user keeps feeding chakra into the technique.

Doton: Itai Jari
(Earth Type: Painful Pebbles) This ninjutsu breaks a clod of dirt into crushed gravel-sized pieces, hardens them, and launches them at a target. The pieces mostly just deliver a stinging poke, but they can make a mess if they hit the thin skin and rich blood supply of the face or the tender surfaces of the eyes. [D-rank]

C-rank

Retsudo Tenshou
(Revolving Split Earth Palm) Doton Retsudo Tenshou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Earth Element. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock. When the ninja forms the needed handseals and slams their palm to the ground, surrounding rock will begin to churn and twist up crushing all those trapped within it.

Tsuchi Tsurugi
(Stone Sword Technique) Using chakra, the user can pull certain shaped items out of the ground, including crude sharp items. These are often heavy.

Doton Shunshin no Jutsu
("Earth Body Flicker") Doton Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic village-specific version of the Shunshin technique. The ninja will disappear and reappear in an instant, allowing them to travel along short to medium distances almost instantly. The user disappears sinking into the earth, and leaves behind a pile of pebbles on the ground (which is specific to the village, Sand leaves grains of sand, Leaf leaves twigs and leaves, etc). The user reappears at his destination point in a large boulder that rises from the ground, which shatters and falls to pieces, revealing the ninja. This teleportation-like technique is usually just used for dramatic entrances or exits. Also, this technique has a longer traveling range than that of the normal Shunshin, and can be used to 'ferry' multiple people at a time, but it costs more chakra and draws a lot of attention.

Gachagon no Jutsu
(Gravity Slam Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals, places a hand on the ground, and flows their chakra through it. This causes an invisible force that is actually the earth's gravity to suddenly slam and pin the target(s) to the ground. Those with high strength can easily overcome this technique as those realize the technique for what it is and resist it with chakra. The user cannot attack or move from his spot and must leave his hand on the ground in order to maintain this technique. This technique drains a lot of chakra , and even more keeping it maintained and for every target over one that is pinned by the technique. This technique can be used out to a 15 foot radius MAX.

Tosugon no Jutsu
(Gravity Toss Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals, places their hands on the ground, and flows their chakra through it. This causes the area around the target to suddenly feel like they are being lifted upward for about a second. This is all of the warning the target gets to evacuate the area they're standing in before they are violently slung high into the air as gravity is reversed very quickly beneath their feet. This technique can be used out to a 15 foot radius MAX.

Tsuchi no Jutsu
(Earth Mallet Technique) Through the sue of this technique, the user is able to make a large slab of stone erupt from the ground at a fast speed in the form of a large hammer (or maul, more accurately), usually aimed to do damage to an opponent. The “strike” when coming from the earth is the same as if the user had struck with it at full strength. Once done, the user can grab the maul near the bottom and cause it to break off and form into a handle. If the user has enough strength, he can then use it as a melee weapon.

Iwabakuha no Jutsu
(Rock Explosion Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user is able to make a rock, as the name suggest, blow up. The size of the explosion depends on the size of the rock, and the bigger the rock, the more chakra it takes to blow it up.

Souteihando no Jutsu
(Restricting Hand Technique) This technique functions exactly like the rising hand technique, except that now the hand is as big as a person and much stronger than the normal person. As such, the hand can be used to wrap around a single target and completely restrict their movement.

Dandou Ishi
(Ballistic Stones) A large amount of stones float around the user. At the users signal, the rocks fly at the opponent. [C-rank]

Ishi tsume
(Stone claw) A jutsu where the user drives a hand into the ground and uses their chakra to stick the mud or dirt to it. When the user pulls it out, theyll use it to form the dirt into huge stone claws. These are very sharp and extend from the fingers. Although theyre not able to cause much destruction they can slash through a lot of things. [C-rank]

Earth/Stone Village Jutsus Empty Re: Earth/Stone Village Jutsus

Post by Pain Fri Jun 05, 2009 11:05 pm

B-rank

Doryuu Kasui
(Earth Spike) The user slams the ground with their palms, making tall spikes of rock pop up to attack the enemy from below. They also can be used to block pathways.

Taiyou no Jutsu
(Cannon Technique) The user slams his hands on a mound of dirt, which then explodes toward the enemy, now a large ball of rock. (Note: Dirt mounds and mountains are required)

Doryuu Moufu
(Earth Blanket) The user grabs ahold of the earth, pulling up a sheet of land off the surface, which can trip up enemies, and then can transform it into rock and slam it right back down on the enemy. (Note: Jounin. Need high strength)

Hashiragon no Jutsu
(Gravity Pillar Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals, places their hands on the ground, and flows their chakra through it. This causes what is usually a large sized area to suddenly pull down with even more gravity than normal. This technique takes five posts to take full effect for adults (Nin higher in rank than genin) with normal strength. During the first post, they start to feel a little bit of a pull, on the second post they begin to have their movement slowed as the gravity is doubled (x2), on the third post they are grounded as the gravity is doubled yet again (x4), on the fourth post they begin to feel pain as their bones are crushed and their skin begins to tear under the pressure and the gravity is doubled again (x8), and they are finally completely crushed on the fifth and final round as the gravity is doubled for the last time (x16). This technique is VERY chakra intensive and uses up even more chakra the bigger the area is and the more strength and endurance the opponent has since it will take more posts to crush them. The user MUST keep at least one hand on the ground at all times and not move from their spot or else the technique will be broken. Also, anyone moving outside the area during any of the posts will not be met with further adverse effects. This technique can be used out to a 20 foot radius MAX.

Nadare no Jutsu
(Avalanche Technique) This technique must be used on a mountain or at least a large, steep hill. Through the use of this kinjutsu technique, the user performs the needed handseals and flows chakra into a single foot. They then stomp the ground, causing all of the ground within a 20 foot radius in front of the user to receive a sudden, quaking jolt. This will cause the land to begin sliding back and large rocks to fly up and begin rolling. Those caught up in it have a high risk of being caught up in the rocks as they fall and begin sliding as well through the continued natural rumbling and shaking in the mountain. The rocks will continue to fall and shake even more loose as they go, causing the avalanche effect. On extremely large mountains, this technique can actually trigger a large landslide. This technique is very dangerous to use and is potentially detrimental to the land, thus it is a kinjutsu and taught very sparingly and only to the most trusted ninja.

Ishihada no Jutsu
(Stone Body Technique) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals and flows their chakra throughout their body, turning their entire body into mobile stone. This technique GREATELY reduces the user's speed, but gives them the hardness of stone. In addition, it allows them make alterations to their body, forming their hands into weapons, giving their bodies spikes, anchoring their feet to the ground, etc.

Iwa Yado Kuzushi
(Stone Lodging Destruction) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals, places their hands on the ground, and flows chakra into the ground and into any stone around it. This gives the user manipulation over all of the exposed stones around. This technique is usually limited, but is EXTREMELY useful in places made entirely of rock like caves, stone lodgings, tunnels, mines, etc. The amount of chakra used depends on how much rock is manipulated and for how long.

Ishi Shuuren
(Stone drill) A powerful technique where the user slams his fists into the ground and through the surface until it covers most of their arm. Using chakra, the user will make mud stuck to their arm and eventually form a drill out of mud. This will become extremely hard and almost impossible to break. This is used to break strong defenses and such.

Bochi Kinko
(Graveyard Imprisonment) A mass Grave Imprison, basically. A circular wave of chakra spreads out from the user along the ground and creates a pit for any other chakra it encounters. Usually that's other people's feet, but it'll also trap imbued swords, fuuinjutsu tags, or even rocks with a little chakra put on them- decoy objects can severely waste the user's chakra, if the opponent knows how the jutsu works.

Gunshuku Haji
(Disarming Grasp) After a brief seal sequence, the user causes a number of strong earthen tendrils to rise out of the ground around a target's feet. These tendrils will arm-wrestle the target in an attempt to gain control of whatever is in his hands. If they succeed, the tendrils retreat under the earth and carry anything they stole underground. The user of the jutsu may change the target by maintaining concentration on the jutsu during the attempt, allowing him to make a try for any poorly-secured item.

Iwa Assaiki Engai
(Stone Crusher Vault) This jutsu is most often used to imprison an enemy or to create a sealed arena, allowing the user to fight an opponent without fear of outside interference. After a slightly over-long handseal sequence, the user places a palm on the ground and raises a large dome. This complicated structure is made in three layers. The interior is thick dirt, similar to the 'Earth Barrier Clay Prison'. The exterior is a flowing river of mud. Suspended in the mud is a layer of heavy rocks that constantly grind against each other. A constant flow of chakra circulating along the mudflow ensures the durability of the construct; small breaches in the foundation layer are quickly repaired by the external mud, and mass stripped by the outside layers is replenished from the surrounding ground. The Vault will remain intact if the user does not supply this additional chakra, but the un-supplemented technique is much easier to bring down.

Funbo Kinko
(Grave Imprisonment) This is a short-range prison jutsu. After performing a short handseal sequence, the user's chakra flows into the ground toward his target; the transfer is most often achieved by placing a hand on the ground. The ground drops out from under the target's feet, leaving him hovering- very briefly- over the center of a pit about ten feet deep. The sides of the pit are laced with the user's chakra, interfering with attempts to use wall-walking skills to halt the fall. When the victim hits the bottom of the pit the ground above his head closes, leaving him trapped in his own personal oubliette. This prison does not require contact or chakra from the user to remain intact- the underground space won't collapse or expel the prisoner- but if the user does not continue to provide chakra to solidify and coat the walls, the prisoner can easily tunnel out or use any other means to escape.

Gekihando no Jutsu
(Crushing Hand Technique) This technique functions exactly like the restricting hand technique, except that now the hand is over twice as big as the average person and vast amounts stronger. As such, the hand can be used to wrap completely around and over a single target and begin crushing them. (NOTE: Requires the restricting hand technique)

A-rank

Meisai Gakure no Jutsu
(Camouflage Concealment Technique)
Meisai Gakure no Jutsu is an advanced Ninjutsu technique used by Rock ninja. After forming the needed handseals, the ninja can grant themself near invisibility. Abilities such as the Sharingan and the Byakugan can pierce through it.

Douka • Iwa Fubuki
(Assimilated • Rock Snowstorm) Through the use of this technique, the user must first perform Ishihada no Jutsu to turn their body into stone. After that, they perform the needed handseals for this technique. Once the final handseal is complete, the user "breaks" into many chunks of rock. The user then uses their chakra to cause their pieces to swirl around the target(s) and launch the pieces at them. The chunks travel fast and hit very hard. The technique ends once all of the chunks are broken into smaller, more harmless pieces, causing the user to mold back together into their Ishihada form. (NOTE: Requires Ishihada no Jutsu)

Jishin no Jutsu
(Earthquake Technique) Through the use of this powerful kinjutsu technique, the user performs the needed handseals and flows chakra into a single foot. They then stomp the ground causing anywhere from a few foot radius in front of them up to a half mile radius in front of them to begin to tremor and quake violently. The quake causes everyone short of the most nimble footed to be thrown down or at least off balance, houses and buildings completely collapse, ravines open up, and large cracks in the ground form… overall completely destroying any inanimate object in the area and destroying the land. A more advanced version of this technique can be used to make the earthquake go deeper into the ground, causing lava to spurt up out of the larger cracks made in the ground, causing immediate and/or potential danger to those caught in the area as well. Due to the nature and danger of this powerful technique, it is a kinjutsu technique and taught very sparingly and only to the most trusted ninja. [NOTE: The later version of the technique can only be used by jounin level characters who have chakra amount as a strength. And even then, they will be completely drained after its use.]
